i just watched the movie "the day the earth stood still"
hehe...
i just downloaded it through the bittorrent...
haha!
the movie is just fine...
i like the way the casts act...
keanu reeves is the best for klaatu's role...
haha!he even show a little of emotions or feelings (as what i have noticed)
aliens don't have any emotions?
but that's the movie portrayed it...
the only part klaatu showed a very little of his emotions is when he saw the doctor and her stepson...
grabe!
i'm just little bit disappointed...
the movie has just reached its climax when klaatu finally decided that humans should be given a second chance...
then after stoping the small insects (or gort), he just disappeared...
then that's the end of the movie...
i'm expecting that klaatu would stay here on earth and decide to live a normal human life...
a little bit of romance...
with the scientist...
most of us who watched it would REALLY REALLY LIKE TO HAVE A PART 2...
biten... biten... biten...
overall... the movie's fine... just fine... but not that good compared to "independence day" and to "signs"

i research about this "end-of-the-world-thing"
i've found out that there is also one movie made like this one...
the showing of the movie is on the month of july next year...
the title of the movie is 2012...
it's very clear!
it's all about the year 2012...
to be exact...
the doomsday on year 2012
which is on the 21st day of december...

the first time i saw these movies...
i researched all over the Net and spared by precious five hours reading lots of articles about 12.21.12
most of what i have read claimed this day as the doomsday...
huh...
if you're the one who'll read those articles...
i'm sure that you'll be somewhat amazed and weary...
talking about the doomsday is very serious and sensitive...
in these articles... many people claim that on that year the earth would be at the center of the milky way galaxy...
being at the center would cause the polar shifts...
somewhat like that...
polar shift would (as they say) cause many catastrophes such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, solar flares...
and great deluge would happen (just like that of Noah's time)
others would claim that it is as if the time would stop...
others tell that extraterrestrials would kinda visit the earth....

visiting and reading such sites lead me to some other sites that tell that extraterrestrials made the human beings and they are kinda disappointed with us because we don't care about nature... we're so attached with our human bodies....

i can't explain...
i'm having mixed feelings and emotions...
i couldn't explain it by words...
some claiming that the antichrist would come....

few only claim that it doesn't really mean that the world would end...
just like when the year ends on the month of december...
it would just go back again to january...
it's a cycle!

actually the mayan calendar would end by 13.0.0.0.0
somewhat like that...
and this mayan date is on the 21st of december 2012
the mayan calendar or anyone or anything of their civilization don't tell more about that date...
it's up to us how would we interpret that date...

like what i'm just saying...
that others don't claim this as the end...
they interpret the date as the time it would start for a paradigm shift...
paradigm shift is like a shift of knowledge...
for example...
the people first believed that the world is flat and the sun, moon and the stars revolve around the earth...
the people changed what they believed when it was proven that the world is a sphere and it is the earth that revolves around the sun...
that's paradigm shift...
that would even cause a major technological boom...
somewhat like that...

i hope the negative interpretations would not really happen...
i'm kinda afraid...
i would be graduating on 2011...
then i would have only one year to live (if it would happen)...
how could i fulfill my dreams with only one year to live?

by the way, the movie "the day the earth stood still" is just a remake of the 1951 film with the same title...
they just change some parts of the story or the story line...
in the 1951 movie, the alien (i don't really remember his name) was about to end human life on earth because humans are very hostile... they always wage war against one another...
in the remake, keanu reeves (the alien in the movie) would end human life on earth so that earth would live... humans are so arrogant that WE cause global warming...
there are some parts or some plots of the story that were changed in the remake... if you want to know... just search in wikipedia...
