leonid meteor shower

ok i was so excited for the meteor shower show...
sayang...
padi's point or somewhere in cloud nine is a good place to view the meteor shower kaso malayo...
and it's already late...
wala pa namang gustong sumama saken...
so i decided to go at the roof of our house...
so cold there...
but sulit naman...
i saw about 10 shooting stars there...
my mom went to the attic to call me...
she even frightened my by saying,"may kapre dyan"
so i go down and decided to watch the meteor shower outside the house...
grabe...
panget, our dog, is so noisy...
she wants to go out the house with me...
masyadong papansin...
looking up on the sky outside our house, i only saw 2 shooting stars...
it was 3:30 in the morning that i decided to sleep na...
madalang na kasi... tska nilalamig na ko...
if only i have that chance to go to cloud nine, i will be able to see a lot of shooting stars...
i didn't even see the meteor shower outburst...
i'm waiting for that all night long...

for me, it's only once in a lifetime to watch that spectacular event...
the strong leonid meteor shower is only once every 33 years
though the leonid meteor shower happens every year...

sayang...
light pollution hindered me from seeing many meteors...
also the big clouds...

ok...
i'll watch again next time...
if i'm lucky, next time i'll watch it in a good place...

frustrations...

i don't know why those things that had happened in my past sinks in my mind right now...
they are all frustrating me...
throughout my life, i consider those experiences as frustrations
and those experiences shaped the present me...

when i was in grade four...
my classmate and i were taking our plastic envelopes beneath the book shelf...
another classmate of ours went on our back and boasted," betty la fea and alicia"
(i remember that classmate of ours, his family name is esguerra...)
do you remember?
they are those ugly people in the teledramas at that time...
my classmate cried
and i?
i stop myself from crying...
i don't want him to see that he succeeded in hurting me...

another one is when i was walking in katipunan near ateneo...
i was attending a summer review for the college entrance exams...
while i was walking, a man overtook me and shouted out so loud in front of me...
"BUGS BUNNY!"
well, i was hurt at that time but i didn't cry...
i just pretended that i didn't heard him and show him that i'm not guilty of what he's saying...

the next thing that happened was during my 2nd year college days...
i rode the lrt train as i go back home...
i remember someone, he's from university of the east because of his uniform...
he was talking with another guy at my back...
he told his friend...
"maganda sana kaso bugs bunny"

i'm really frustrated remembering those things that had happened...
how i wish ________________

while i'm walking...
i'm thinking, what if i got my mother's nose...
e di tumangos man lang ung ilong ko...
what if i never got pimples...
what if i never thumb-sucked when i was little so that my teeth would be fine...
as i walk, i almost cry...

there are other more experiences that i won't post here coz it might also hurt someone...

people (especially filipinos) are so harsh...
they've been judging others on their appearances...

i'm really frustrated...

There's Always Hope...

Well, I just finished the movie 2012... I just put it in the blog instead of the reviews coz I want to add some more rather than giving my review...

The movie has really great and spectacular video and sound effects...
Very very amazing...
Don't mention the performances of actors...
Their performance is just fine
Overall, it's a good movie
It's worth watching for...

I would like take note on the message of the movie...
In the end, there's always hope...

Ok...
The movie presented what might probably happen during the end of the days...
Breaking grounds...
Exploding volcanoes...
Unimaginable tsunamis...
Well...
If that will happen, we all don't know...

My brother's asking me why the world didn't explode in the movie...
He's expecting some scenes like those in dragon ball z...
Well, for him, he's expecting too much...
And now, he's disappointed...

For the story line...
3/5
Most of the events that happened in the movie are based on ideas crawling the Web...
They have adapted the idea of polar shifting...
massive destruction due to the alignment of the planets...

Ok..
all i can say is that the movie's message is right...
There's always hope and we should live our lives getting hold of this hope...

Learn from the Past, Hope for the Future, Live in the Present

Learn from the Past, Hope for the Future, Live in the Present
~Ken Lancaster

Well, this morning,
I attended the Sunday Mass...
I really appreciated the Homily of Fr. Mariano...
He's really good...
And for this time, the homily answered the question blowing in my mind recently...
Thank God!

Well, the Gospel talks about the end of time and the second coming of the Lord...
In the homily, Fr. Mariano told us that we should live our present in hope for the future...
He also told that living in the present means preparing for the future and second coming of the Lord...
In his homily, he emphasized that the Lord will come to Earth for three times...
The first coming happened in the past (as we know)...
The second coming will happen in the future (in the end of times)...
And the most important, the third coming happens today, in our present....

He also told a story about the Indian tribe..
It is all about the chief who wants to know who will be the best successor among his three sons...
He summon his three sons to climb the mountain and look for a thing that they think would be the most important for their tribe...
All of the three sons climbed the mountain and returned home...
The first son brought home a very precious flower...
Everyone in the tribe knows that the precious flower is only found on the top of the mountain and all of them were amazed and thought that the first son may be the good successor of their chieftain...
The second son brought home precious stones of different color...
Everyone were amazed also and they knew that those stones are very rare...
The third son returned home with nothing...
His father asked him why...
He told his father that he can't bring anything home for what he found on the other side of the mountains is a fertile land with spring of water and he thinks that the tribe should go on the other side and live their...
The father was amazed of his third son and he believes that this son of him would be the best successor because he looks after the future of his tribe...

Fr. Mariano also mentioned about the movie "2012"
He noted that a chieftain of a Mayan tribe in one interview told that none of the books from their tribe foretold about the end of the world...
He also noted that throughout the history, from past to the present time, many "prophets" foretold about the end of times (and yet, they were wrong)...
But he noted that in the Gospel it was written that
"But of that day or hour, no one knows,
neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."
No one can foretell when the end of times will happen...
If we believe of this predictions, it could affect our present lives...
It can affect how we should act....
If can affect our personality...
And hence, we couldn't live our life to the fullest and in hope for the future...

By the way, I want to post some videos from the youtube...
My brother has been watching these videos for so many times...
I know that he feels a little bit afraid about the end of the world...

Ok here's the videos:

The Long Wait is Over

At last, my long wait is over...
2012 is now out in movie theatres...
But I found it too expensive to watch the movie in a movie house...
per head would cost 140 pesos...
everyone here in our house wants to watch the movie...
so instead, we waited for about 3 hours of downloading the movie from stagevu...
well, there are many sites streaming the movie, but you need to look for the right one...
there's another movie named 2012...
my classmate's friend bought a pirated dvd of 2012...
they told me that the movie sucks...
i told them that it's not the 2012 directed by ronald emmerich...
i know that movie that sucks...
based on the comments of people...
it really sucks and it's really boring...
by the way, here's the site that provides links to streaming sites of different movies...
www.watch-movies-online.tv
(note: if typing the address don't direct you to that site, just search through google and look for "watch movies links net"...
the site always changes its url)
i recommend it since i had been visiting this site for more than a year...

a week after this coming week...
i would watch the movie "the road"
well, it's a post-apocalyptic story...

that's all for now...

2012 and the end of the world...

well, i just heard early this morning in a radio program that NASA has put in its website an article about the 2012 end of the world...
it really strucked me...
so, right away, i looked for that page in the web...
ok... they put some questions and answers in that page...
also, they put some links below the page...
i saw there an article in a magazine...
here's the link ---> The Great 2012 Doomsday Scare

i get their point...
and i know that their answers are all based on their knowledge on science...
they're scientists...

but on the other side....
no one knows when will it happen...
human mind cannot encompass the knowledge of when will be the apocalypse...
it is beyond our thinking...
only God knows...

so..
it might happen on 2012 or not...
we all don't know...

we can't know those things...
we all don't know how and when will be the Judgement Day...
like others told me...
always live your life to the fullest...
live life with no regrets...
and most importantly,
wholeheartedly accept God as your Savior...

ok...
i posted the comments here for convenience...

by the way, i want to take note a paragraph in the magazine article "The Great 2012 Doomsday Scare"

here:

"What did the Maya themselves think about End Times? There is no evidence that they saw the calendar and a world age ending in either transcendence or catastrophe on December 21, 2012. Some Maya Long Count texts refer to dates many baktuns past 13 and even into the next pictun and beyond. For instance, an inscription commissioned in the 7th century A.D. by King Pacal of Palenque predicts that an anniversary of his accession would be commemorated on Oct. 15, 4772."

disturbing ideas

well..
i know that everyone have noticed in my obsession in destruction and end-of-the-world movies...
to tell you the truth, i am really disturbed with the idea of destruction...
well...
i'm still asking myself why should i be afraid of the end...

i opened this topic to my college friends,
i told them that I AM REALLY AFRAID OF THE END...
i am really afraid...
like what lyka told me, if you really accepted God as your Savior, then why should you be afraid?
hai...
i'm really guilty...

that night that lyka asked me that question,
i was a little bit surprised that i would hear those words from her...
and i answered her that i'm afraid that i'm not ready and i haven't fulfilled all my dreams yet...
that i haven't finished my job here...
and i am so sinful...
would He ever accept me?

p a r a n a m a n a k o n g m u l t o . . .

she answered me, you shouldn't be afraid for in His arms, you'll find full satisfaction...
those words really touched me...
on my way back home, i prayed and prayed and prayed to God to give me the ease of mind and help me to accept Him more wholeheartedly as my Savior..
and i as i returned home i told my mom bout those idea of destruction and how afraid i am of it..

Well, this ideas have nothing to do with my religion...
i actually believe deeply in my religion...
for so many times, it had answered all my questions...

for this time,
my mind is asking again about that time that He'll get all things back to Him...
actually, this question has been answered a long time ago
and yet, it is disturbing me again...

and now, i'm looking for my post about the priest's homily that answered this some time ago...
i found this ---> knowing
well, i know there are only few words about the priest's homily but i know that i really post it here somewhere in my blog so that i could read it sometime...

well, as i meditate and try to understand more...
i noticed Michael Jackson's song, Man in the Mirror...
well...
even it's not really related to the topic...
it has something to do with WHAT SHOULD WE DO...

actually, as i read the lyrics...
it made me almost cry...

if you want to make the world a better world
take a look at yourself and make that change...

yeah...
there's a little connection bout the end-of-the-world and the better world...
but i realized that
in our today's world
where everyone always sees the negative side of things...
where people would always criticize others...
...and not try to ponder and look for their on faults and wrongs
where most would focus themselves on the ends and not on the means to get to that end...
where everyone's looking and grasping selfishly for their own satisfaction...
...without giving importance and value to others' rights
we should make that change...
and we should start with ourselves...
so that we can capture everyone's heart to do the same...

i know, me too...
i admit it...
like everybody else, i often criticize others' mistakes and not mine...
and it has been very hard for me to accept all my own faults...

but with what had happened to me and all the things that i realized,
i decided to do the change and start it with myself...
though it would be very hard to do this change...

i already made up my mind...
i would really START NOW...

you know,
one more thing that i realized...
most of Michael Jackson's songs...
if you really read its lyrics and understand its gist...
you'll find it very meaningful to yourself and others...
and it would really inspire and motivate you...

~_~
NOW IS THE START
DO THE SAME DECISION FOR YOURSELF
AND MAKE THE CHANGE
